Hello DrewR. Congratulations on your new job and thank you for serving our country with the DOD. For better or worse, the TSP doesn’t have that many options (at this time) - your choices boil down to five funds or various life cycle funds (the equivalent of retirement date funds) that invest in those five core fund funds at varying percentages. You mentioned you already have a retirement plan in place. How have you selected your allocation and specific investments in that plan? You could choose to simply match your allocation as closely as possible (e.g., split between bonds - F fund - and S&P 500 stocks - C Fund), as one example. Blessings in your stewardship journey!
